今回の黙想会を通して、まず同世代の人たちと話をすることができたことに喜びを感じています。久しぶりの人もいれば、初めましての人がいて、正直最初は緊張していたものの、同じ信仰をもっている安心感がそこにはありました。
マタイの福音書から始まった黙想会。お話は3人の博士が星を見つけてイエス様に会いに行くところでした。福音書を読み終えた後、神父様からのお話がありました。そこでは、自然の偉大さや私たちの中に博士がイエス様に贈った黄金、乳香、没薬の様な宝があるということを神父様はおっしゃっていました。私はその様な話を通して、自然の中に現れる神様からのお導きにしっかり目を向けたいと考え、また自分や他者の中にある黄金、乳香、没薬を人との関わりの中で見つけていきたいと考えました。さらに、他の参加者の方の話も聞き、それぞれの歩んできた人生やそれぞれの考えに触れてとても刺激的な1日となりました。この様な機会を設けてくださった神父様、教会学校のスタッフの方々、そして神様に感謝をしながら、今回のお恵みをこれからの生きる活力にしていきたいと思います。(Y.T.)

The Christmas retreat was the perfect way to prepare spiritually for Christmas! All participants got to listen to a very deep sermon by Father Andrea and got to know each other and themselves better through discussing what we had learned, playing games, eating together and then attending mass. Such an event was like our personal Star of Bethlehem, allowing us to get closer to our Savior through deeper knowledge of Him and through better knowing the members of the Church, His Mystical Body. Personally, as a foreigner who is far away from his blood relatives, I can confidently say that I found my second home in my brothers and sisters in Christ; and everyone would be very welcome to join us in other opportunities.
